Henry Willard, Jr.

(son of Henry “Harry” Willard, brother of Martin & James)

b 1801 Russell Co, Virginia -- d aft 1880, Jo Daviess Co, IL

Henry Jr. was the son of Harry Willard and Lissey Counts. His parents left the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 1787 and moved to the west end of Virginia to Russell Co, settling in Glade Hollow. His Counts grandparents moved with them. Henry Jr. was born there at their farm in Glade Hollow 1800-01.

His grandpa, John Counts, died, in 1803, and about 1804 Harry moved his family to Kentucky to Breckinridge county.

1810 census Breckinridge Co, Ky: page 319:

[The 1880 census says he was born in 1801, though the way the children’s births were, it could also have been 1800.]

Can’t find the family in 1820. They probably moved to Indiana by then.
